The remodel of this home included the installation of a large outdoor patio/living space with built-in fireplace. The shape of the patio was derived from the architecture of the house by taking the shape of the bay window and roof overhang and bringing it down to the ground plane. A beautiful dwarf Japanese maple was placed to be viewed from the bay window. In order to fix existing grades several trees were removed from the lawn space and restorative pruning was performed on the remaining plant material to enhance their structure and improve health.
