The owners of this brick colonial longed for a walkway to their front door, so in preparation they removed a few trees. The new concrete paver walk flows with graceful serpentine curves through the lawn and gardens terminating in a wide landing. The old concrete stoop got a facelift with brick veneer and bluestone. This is framed with a blend of evergreen and deciduous plants that include sweet smelling Miss Kim lilacs, pink blossomed azaleas and a carpet of purple flowering Ajuga. The deep burgundy leaves of a dwarf Japanese maple are a rich compliment to this explosion of color.
