A graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Business
Entrepreneurship, Monique Allen began in the Green Industry as a freelance gardener in
1986, using her business training to provide the best service possible to her
clients. She attended horticulture study at The Arnold Arboretum, in Jamaica Plain,
MA and at Massachusetts Horticultural Society, in Boston, MA. She went on to
complete Graduate Design Studies at (formerly) Radcliffe Seminars at Harvard, in Cambridge, MA.
Monique has been dedicated to the Landscaping trade, and continues to
encourage the company she began many years ago to reach its highest potential
by providing excellence in all aspects of garden installation and maintenance.
She serves on the board of Associated Landscape Contractors of
Massachusetts, on the Education Committee for New England Grows
(trade show), and on the Advisory Committee for the Community
Outreach Group for Design. She is also a freelance educator,
speaking to members of various homeowner and professional
organizations.
Monique is an avid collector of perennials and groundcovers,
which has helped to transform her own property in Franklin,
Mass., into show gardens that have been featured inThis Old
House Magazine.
Monique is the President and CEO of The Garden Continuuum. She
is a Certified Landscape Designer and a Massachusetts Certified
Landscape Professional.
